@commandernbeef | Kayla Robison’s culinary journey began at her first restaurant when she was just 14 years old. At 19, she moved from her hometown in North Dakota to Cincinnati, OH and enrolled in culinary school. Working as a pastry chef during the day and bartending at night Kayla was given the opportunity to open Nation Kitchen & Bar as its executive chef in 2015. Kayla’s menu helped Nation quickly become the defacto burger joint for Cincinnati’s hottest neighborhood, Over-The-Rhine. In 2018, Kayla decided to expand her culinary skills beyond burgers and jumped at an opportunity to create a new menu program at the world-famous Arnold’s Bar and Grill, a nationally recognized establishment. Esquire Magazine's "Best Bars in America", Thrillist's "Most Iconic Bar in Ohio", The Daily Meal's "150 Best bars in America" and Serious Eats' "The Cincinnati".

In her new role as Executive Chef at the 157 year old icon, Arnold’s Bar and Grill, she has created a whole new dining experience while working alongside her team and empowers them to create a unique menu with her, full of locally sourced ingredients, to help set their restaurant apart from others in the city.

Kayla has been a media mainstay, both locally and nationally, with recent mentions in Cosmopolitan magazine and a feature on Cooking Channel's Cheap Eats and Travel Channel’s Man vs Food.
